Welcome to Don Julio Mexican Kitchen - Lake Mary

Wonderful place for a night out with friends! We decided to stop in while we were all in the area for dinner and drinks. We had such a great experience! The food was amazing. I had the steak tacos and they were out of this world! My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla and was so impressed with the flavor. We also tried the house hot sauce - WOW! This is definitely the place for some nice drinks too! Their cocktails are crafted to perfection. Everyone ordered stunning cocktails. We also split a pitcher of the tropical sangria - a must for a group outing here. Sergio was our waiter and he was amazing. He was so attentive and made sure we always had what we needed. We can't wait for our next trip.

Good food, very good drinks. Our waiter Sergio was very friendly and helpful. The table was a little big for the booth, but we made it work. Everyone enjoyed their food and dip. The music was a little loud, but good! It fit the vibe of the restaurant. The whole restaurant is decorated nicely. We'll definitely be coming back!

The restaurant is lively and inviting. We got fast service. The chips and salsa came to the table right away. If you get the Carnitas, you'll likely have leftovers. The rice is moist. You get tortillas with your meal.

This restaurant is probably our top restaurant in my neighborhood. It's pretty much our go-to option when looking to eat out or order food nearby. My family and I often order the Baja tacos and the shrimp burrito. I've had a few of their vegan tacos before, and those were also good. The restaurant is usually booming, so the time you go will impact your ability to maybe sit somewhere of your preference. There are a few seating options out front. I like this restaurant and have found that the service (when dining in) is pretty quick and attentive. I would recommend this place!

Okay so it's really busy so it's got a bustling feel. Food was upper average, kind of expensive. We have another Mexican place nearby to our house and prefer it but we'll go back once in a while I guess for a change.

Love Don Julio's! Such a staple in Lake Mary. It's always busy on the weekends and the happy hour is worth making it to as well! The chimichanga is delicious, I ordered the grilled chicken and the flavor was great I would just ask for more red sauce on the side cause it's so tasty Fast service and fresh food is always a plus and we always enjoy our time. On this particular Friday there was a DJ outside which was a nice vibe

We went on a Saturday evening and the place was packed, but we were seated right away with a party of 4. The restaurant itself was very loud and it was hard to hear anyone else. It definitely had a very lively atmosphere, but not a good place to go if you are hoping to have good conversations. Our waitress was very friendly though and even with how crowded it was service was very quick The food was tasty and on par with other Mexican restaurants I have been to in the area! I wouldn't say it is anything special, but if you are craving Mexican it will definitely hit the spot. I later saw that they are known for their Birria, so that is likely what I will try next time. I got the Enchiladas Rancheras which were yummy and filled me up. The chicken and veggies are all on top, with the enchiladas being filled with cheese. I loved the Mexican rice that was served on the side! Overall, we had a good meal, just wish the music was a bit quieter. The food is average and will definitely leave you feeling satisfied.

I was in town for a conference and decided to check out Don Julio! I went on a Friday night. The ambiance is very vibrant and there was a DJ. It was nice but a bit loud to have conversations. They give complimentary chips and salsa. I sat at the bar with my friend because it was busy and seats were open at the bar. I had a Mai Thai which was good and had the Birria tacos which was good, however not the best I have ever had. The service was good. Good for a Friday night dining out.

Decided I should update my review since the last one was 6 years ago. Since then, I've visited multiple times and always have a decent meal. Last night, I stopped in with a girlfriend and grabbed a margarita and their birria tacos. I feel like the tacos were filled pretty well compared to other birria tacos I've had from different establishments. The meat was tender and had great flavor. I feel like the portion of consommé could have been a bit more though. I had to kinda "smash" the taco into the sauce to get a decent amount. Other than that- great service, good vibes and yummy food.

I've been here so many times I honestly don't know how I've never reviewed this place. This place is always lively and a fun happy hour spot. The service here is great and fast. Everything here is so good I don't really think you can order something you won't like here. The drinks are really strong here. The queso here is amazing. My favorite thing to get here is the Chimichanga or the Quesadilla. If you want good Mexican food you should definitely come here.
